The 8th Knox Scout Group has groups for Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Rovers. They are led by qualified leaders and enthusiastic volunteers. The Group is located in Norvel Road, Ferntree Gully and operates from a Scout-owned facility on Council land. Each section participates in weekly activities at the hall.

Recently, the Group has been renovating the entrance and kitchen area in the hall utilising donated materials and labour.

The renovated kitchen was in need of a new electric oven, cooktop and fridge/freezer so that the new project Cubs and Cooks in the Kitchen could begin.

A grant of $1500 was awarded to the Group towards the purchase cost of these items.
